Concord Avenue Cafe – Cambridge

When a sushi craving hits, it must be satisfied.  Nothing else can fill that spicy wasabi void.  Miss Yunks had a sushi craving the same night she planned a run.  To satisfy both needs, she mapped a route that ended at a local cafe.

That’s right, I run now. Barely, but I’m trying it.  I mapped out a mile route to end up at Concord Avenue Cafe. There’s not much information on their website.  I picked this cafe for sushi because I’ve walked and driven past it many times and the writing on the window, “coffee * ice cream * pastry * sushi * rice noodles * pad thai * bubble ice tea” intrigued me.  Concord Ave Cafe serves quite the variety of food.  Yelpers wrote great reviews so I was excited to try the vegetable sushi.  They made it fresh for me when I ordered.  Fresh is always better than sushi that’s been sitting around.  The only thing missing from this veggie roll was avocado.  I love avocado.  Instead this roll was filled with all crunchy vegetables.  It was delicious and the wasabi was just the kick I had been craving.  I will definitely go here again!

Where’s your favorite place to get sushi?

I agree that when a sushi craving hits, it must be satisfied. Believe it or not, I love Whole Foods sushi.

I drive past this place ALL the time – thanks for letting me know what it’s all about :) I like good ol’ Whole Foods sushi – and recently have been ordering from Thelonious Monkfish which just opened in Central.

I can always eat sushi! I recently went to Ole in Wakefield/Reading that had some really great avocado and sweet potato maki.

I completely agree! There is no sub for sushi when you want it. I love sushi after a run, tastes even better!
