Well, it seems that the rain has come to just wash out summer. TFAW will fondly remember some of the delicious summery treats we had during the season.
Like this crisp, cold bottle of Cupcake Vineyards wine (appropriately titled!) we shared at Tanglewood in Lenox, MA for the James Taylor concert.
Or some sweet grilled corn, hot off the BBQ and dusted with salt + pepper.
Or this juicy and meaty lobster roll from Monahan’s Clam Shack in Narragansett, RI that AT’s bf scarfed down.
At least with fall comes a whole new season of good food items to look forward to — pumpkins, hearty soups and a return to non-bathing-suit-weather comfort food Oh, and did we forget to mention pumpkin pie, pumpkin lattes and pumpkin bread?
What was the best thing you ate all summer?

I just loved this post! I should not wish away the summer we are only now having here in the PNW, but I adore the crispness of Fall – the colors, tastes, and the return of sweaters and boots.
That corn looks amazing.
The best thing I ate all summer was definitely a lobster roll from Luke’s lobster. They had a booth at the Hampton Classic on Long Island a few weeks ago, and even though it was expensive ($16!), it was so worth it. Very little mayonnaise, just fresh lobster with a little lemon butter and some kind of delicious spice combination. I could probably eat like 4 of them if my wallet would let me… My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I think it’s time to go find some lunch now!
