Summer Cocktails and a Top Notch Brunch – NYC

Recently, A-Tooch had a brunch worth sharing accompanied by a brunchie drink even more worthy. Behold, the Bloody Rosemary:

Infused with rosemary and garnished with a rosemary sprig!

I checked out brunch at Five Points at the suggestion of a foodie friend. She was spot on with this reco. We made reservations as this is a popular place and now I understand why. I was ready to pack on the pounds and went with the Buttermilk Marinated Fried Chicken — served with spiced fries and a wedge salad with blue cheese (one of my guilty pleasures). I usually go for more unique options when trying a new place, but something (or someone, as in the tables all around me) told me this would be a wise choice. The chicken was perfect, flavorful and crunchy without all the grease. I’ve never had fried chicken with so much flavor… most of the time the only flavor I taste is, well, fried.

Here at TFAW we really try to highlight those things that are extraordinary, worth the extra mile to try and/or unique. Don’t be fooled by the basic dishes – the food and drink at Five Points certainly was on this list.
